Distributed solar development, from site to grid.
Grid Development Group develops distributed-scale ground-mount solar projects — from site origination through interconnection, permitting, and construction readiness.
Mission Statement
Grid Development Group helps landowners transform underutilized property into productive, long-term income-generating assets through responsible energy development. We bring together landowners, engineering and construction partners, utilities, and capital providers to identify viable sites and guide projects from initial evaluation through development and construction.
Our goal is to create projects that deliver lasting value to landowners, strengthen local energy infrastructure, and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable power system.
Ecological Commitment
Grid Development Group is committed to developing energy projects in a manner that preserves, restores, or improves the ecological condition of each site.
We prioritize land that is already cleared, disturbed, previously developed, or otherwise underutilized to minimize tree removal, habitat disruption, and unnecessary land conversion. Where feasible, we incorporate native vegetation, pollinator-friendly ground cover, erosion-control measures, responsible stormwater management, and other site-specific conservation practices.
We evaluate each property individually and work with landowners, engineers, environmental professionals, and local stakeholders to balance energy production with responsible land stewardship. Our objective is to leave each site environmentally stable, thoughtfully managed, and capable of providing lasting economic and ecological value.
What We Do
Site Origination & Land
Identifying and securing viable parcels.
Interconnection & Feasibility
Feeder-level hosting-capacity screening and grid analysis.
Permitting & Entitlement
Navigating zoning, land-use, and regulatory approvals.
Project Structuring
Financial underwriting and offtake strategy.
Ownership & Operations
Developing to own — carrying projects through construction into long-term operation and asset management.
Approach
A disciplined, analytics-driven process — screening interconnection capacity, evaluating site and zoning conditions, and underwriting project economics before committing capital.
